For this project, you will choose one invention you are interested in
and write a report, as well as,create a presentation about the following
topics:
‥The inventor
‥The invention
‥Discuss how this invention affects our world, society, and/or
environment
Class time will be devoted to research, taking notes, and writing rough
and final drafts. Thepresentation work needs to be completed at home. We will
gather resources at school, however, you and your parents may need to access
other libraries in the area if you need more information.
While you are given time in class to research and take notes, you may
also need to completework at home to meet the deadlines, the teacher will tell
you about them.
The report will include:
A detailed biography of the inventor
A description of the invention (what it is, why it was
invented, how it was invented)
An explanation of how the invention affects our world,
society, and/or environment
Invention Research Project
You will be completing a research report on a past
invention. Most of the work for this reportwill be done in class; however,

need to come up with a creative way to present your report to the class.
I have created a listof websites to locate possible
research topics. You will be expected to choose one topic by thedue date.
